厚生労働省では7月1日から１週間、「全国安全週間」を実施します。今年で97回目となる全国安全週間は、労働災害を防止するために産業界での自主的な活動の推進と、職場での安全に対する意識を高め、安全を維持する活動の定着を目的としています。これまで、事業場では、労使が協調して労働災害防止対策が展開されてきました。この努力により労働災害は長期的には減少しておりますが、令和5年の労働災害については、死亡災害は前年を下回る見込みであるものの、休業4日以上の死傷災害は前年を上回る見込みであり、近年、増加傾向に歯止めがかからない状況となっています。厚生労働省では、7月1日から7日までを「全国安全週間」、6月1日から30日までを準備期間として、各職場における巡視やスローガンの掲示、労働安全に関する講習会の開催など、さまざまな取組を実施します。
